Curtain Call's Summer Youth Theatre 2013:
For over twenty years, Curtain Call's Summer Youth Theatre has provided creative outlets for youth ages ten to twenty-one both on stage and behind the scenes. Overall, our Summer Youth Theatre provides nearly 100 hours of creative enrichment and interaction for youth with common interests under the guidance of a team of area professionals. (Participation fee $50.)
This summer, Curtain Call's Summer Youth Theatre will present not just one fantastic, musical production, but two:

Based on the Book
Curtain Call’s Summerstock Performance Workshop Program offers fun, creative and challenging full-day curriculums for ages six through sixteen throughout the summer. Our intensive programs focus on acting, improv, musical theatre and Shakespeare, while creating a safe and comfortable environment that promotes confidence and social development.
Now entering its 23 rd summer, Summerstock will be Based on the Book: exploring plays and musicals adapted from fables, fiction and literature. Every two weeks begins a new and exciting program:

| Curtain Call's Summer Youth Theatre is looking for a Technical Director for its Summer 2013 productions: |
Into the Woods Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim Book by James Lapine For participants entering 9th grade thru age 21
Disney's Alice in Wonderland, JR. Book adapted and additional lyrics by David Simpatico Music Adapted and Arranged and Additional Music and Lyrics by Bryan Louiselle Based on the 1951 Disney film For participants entering 4th grade thru participants entering 8th grade
Production Dates: Production begins June 15, 2013. Tech work calls are mostly Saturdays during the day with some weeknights. Performances would run in repertory August 6 to 18, 2013.
Curtain Call's Summer Youth Theatre has had a 22 year tradition of offering creative opportunities for young artists ages ten to twenty-one and creating a performance environment through which they could learn and grow. Auditions, rehearsals, technical work and performances will all take place at Curtain Call, Inc., located at the Sterling Farms Theatre Complex, 1349 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT 06905.
Looking for...
Technical Director: (professional or college-level) must have experience/knowledge in stage craft and set construction, and at least some basic knowledge of electrics and stage rigging; must coordinate all crew work schedules with the producers; must oversee the work of all crew members in the areas of set construction, lighting, sound, props and stage rigging; must mentor our young technicians and teach them some basic stage-craft skills; must schedule all deadlines for set drawings and drafts with the scenic designer; must coordinate the lighting hang, patch and focus schedule with the lighting designer; must be available for all scheduled crew work days (primarily Saturdays but some evenings during the week), tech and dress rehearsals and the strike/tear down.
